Macroeconomics Book Description
Dornbusch, Fischer, and Startz has been a long-standing, leading intermediate macroeconomic theory text since its introduction in 1978. This revision retains most of the text's traditional features, including a middle-of-the-road approach and very current research, while updating and simplifying the exposition. This revision focuses on making the text even easier to teach from. The only pre-requisite continues to be principles of economics.
Rudiger Dornbusch has contributed to Macroeconomics as an author. The late Rudi Dornbusch was Ford Professor of Economics and International Management at MIT.
Stanley Fischer has contributed to Macroeconomics as an author. Stanley Fischer became Governor of the Bank of Israel in May of 2005. He has also served as Vice Chairman of Citigroup, Inc., First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Killian Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at MIT. Before his service in the IMF from 1994 to 2001, he was Killian Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at MIT.
